      <description>This will be my final post on podomatic.com.

The new podcast page is available at http://dj.psylight.ca. I have 5 mixes up there currently, with more being added as you read this. None will ever be swapped off. Two have never been posted before on this site.

      <title>Podulate</title>
      <description>Podulate is a tight, euphoric, uplifting dance mix emphasizing trance-like progressions and melodic structure.

Podulate is the second in my series of "Trancy" mixes, including Trancephase and Spectral Artifacts.

Sorry about the posting delay, I was waiting for my bandwidth usage to go back to normal after the Christmas post spree. :)

      <title>Trinfinity</title>
      <description>A balm for broken hearts. There's some dancy stuff here, some beautiful stuff, some slow stuff, and everything in between. This is a landmark mix for me, IMO. It was done mostly live, in a single pass. That means it's not quite perfect, but it's really close and I really like it. It's not meant to be danceable, really. There are some parts that are, but don't be expecting another Ephemereality or Trancephase.

Why a balm for broken hearts? I've been struggling with some personal issues lately. I tried going the "let's-just-be-friends" route with one of my ex-girlfriends, only to realize that I can't do it any longer after a year and a half. I had to free myself. This mix is a symbol of my journey to freedom from the pain of that broken relationship.

Musically, there are some really strange crossfades and juxtapositions here. I don't think anything's really clashy though. Flow was still maintained, despite the incredible diversity of source material. Or so I think. Feel free to comment.

Quality-wise, I've switched from -q0.5 to -q0.48 for the Nero AAC encoder. This way, I should be able to keep 5 mixes up at any given time. -q0.5 was just a touch too big. Also, this mix is entirely created from lossless sources, for maximum tonal purity. :P

Track listing:
01. Amon Tobin - El Cargo {3:24}
02. The Flashbulb - Lucid Bass II {6:58}
03. Photophob - What Went Wrong {4:04}
04. Bola - Tibular Vader {3:45}
05. Ulrich Schnauss - Gone Forever {6:11}
06. Aes Dana - Exposure [Aes Dana Remix] {4:16}
07. edIT - Screening Phone Calls {1:47}
08. Orbital - Lost {2:08}
09. Jega - Geometry {2:50}
10. Super Collider - It Won't Be Long {3:47}
11. Bassnectar - Everybody {4:04}
12. Fatboy Slim - Song for Chesh {2:49}
13. Sound of the Camel - Sound of the Camel {4:13}
14. Aes Dana - Chernozem {1:17}
15. Squarepusher - Ultravisitor {4:48}
16. M83 - Gone {5:41}
17. Labradford - Twenty {3:04}
18. UNKLE - Glow {2:50}
19. M83 - Birds {0:54}
20. Fluke - Mosh {4:48}
21. LFO - Mokeylips {1:40}

      <title>Ephemereality</title>
      <description>Ephemereality is the defining DJ Psylight mix. If you'd like to hear my sound, get this. I have not put this much effort into a DJ mix ever before, or ever since. Between a dizzying array of genres and influences, hard-hitting dance numbers, and all-out electronic madness, this mix is designed to impress. It should be reasonably danceable too!

I'm re-releasing this mix with a few different settings. It should now properly transfer over to your iPod. I will be reposting most of the content on the site to fix this issue. Thanks to Brian for pointing this out and helping with debugging!

Track listing:
01. David Gilmour - Take a Breath {3:49}
02. edIT - Laundry {4:41}
03. Cujo - Cat People {4:04}
04. Mr. Oizo - Monophonic Stuff {1:16}
05. Boards of Canada - Sunshine Recorder {5:38}
06. Bassnectar - Mesmerizing the Ultra {3:26}
07. Hexstatic - Bass Invader {3:05}
08. Mike and Rich - The Sound of Beady Eyes {4:10}
09. Bassnectar - The Wicked Twitch of the West {1:42}
10. Daft Punk - Phoenix [Basement Jaxx Remix] {6:28}
11. Autechre - Crystel {2:17}
12. Aphex Twin - PWSteal.Ldpinch.D {2:22}
13. The Orb - Toxygene [The Way Out West Begbe Mix] {6:16}
14. Pendulum - Fasten Your Seltbelt {5:35}
15. Jega - Rigid Body Dynamics {1:50}
16. BT - Fibonacci Sequence {7:01}
17. Alternate Vision - Theatre of Magic {6:55}
