A balm for broken hearts. There's some dancy stuff here, some beautiful stuff, some slow stuff, and everything in between. This is a landmark mix for me, IMO. It was done mostly live, in a single pass. That means it's not quite perfect, but it's really close and I really like it. It's not meant to be danceable, really. There are some parts that are, but don't be expecting another Ephemereality or Trancephase. Why a balm for broken hearts? I've been struggling with some personal issues lately. I tried going the "let's-just-be-friends" route with one of my ex-girlfriends, only to realize that I can't do it any longer after a year and a half. I had to free myself. This mix is a symbol of my journey to freedom from the pain of that broken relationship. Musically, there are some really strange crossfades and juxtapositions here. I don't think anything's really clashy though. Flow was still maintained, despite the incredible diversity of source material. Or so I think. Feel free to comment. Quality-wise, I've switched from -q0.5 to -q0.48 for the Nero AAC encoder. This way, I should be able to keep 5 mixes up at any given time. -q0.5 was just a touch too big. Also, this mix is entirely created from lossless sources, for maximum tonal purity. Track listing:
